Syringe Guide
Insulin syringes are marked in units, not milliliters. They are U-100, meaning 100 units = 1 mL.
30-unit vs 100-unit
- 30-unit (0.3 mL): finer graduations, ideal for small draws.
- 50-unit (0.5 mL): a middle option.
- 100-unit (1 mL): holds the most, coarser graduations.
Reading the draw
If a calculation says “draw to 25 units,” pull the plunger to the 25 mark. The calculator shows the exact unit mark and visualizes it on a syringe diagram.
