Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Peptuvia collects and how we use it: what we need to fulfill your orders, and the measurement of how the site is used that is described under Cookies and Similar Storage.

Information We Collect

  • Shipping details — name and address, used to fulfill and forward your order.
  • Email — used for order confirmations, shipping updates, and test-result notifications.
  • Order & transaction data — items, totals, and the cryptocurrency used. We do not store private keys or wallet credentials.
  • Checkout progress — once you start checkout, the email, name, phone number, city, state, postcode and country you type are saved as you go, even if you never place the order. Your street address is saved only with a placed order.
  • Connection details — the IP address, browser type and approximate location (country, region and city, as your connection indicates) that a cart or order came from, kept with that cart or order.
  • Site usage — the page you arrived on, the site, link or ad that sent you, your device type and country, and whether you went on to view a product, add to cart, start checkout or order.

How We Use It

  • To process payments and confirm orders on-chain.
  • To forward fulfillment details to suppliers and, where selected, testing laboratories.
  • To send transactional emails about your order.
  • To see where shoppers get stuck between arriving and paying, and which sites, links and ads bring customers.

Cryptocurrency Transactions

Blockchain transactions are public by nature. While we do not link your on-chain activity to your identity beyond what is required to reconcile your order, transaction hashes are inherently visible on public ledgers.

Sharing

We share the information needed to fulfill your order with suppliers and laboratories, and nothing beyond what fulfillment requires. Google, Reddit and TikTok receive the site-usage and order information described under Cookies and Similar Storage. We do not sell personal information. We never disclose supplier identities to customers.

Data Retention

We retain order records as needed for support, accounting, and quality tracking. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting hello@peptuvia.com.

Cookies and Similar Storage

A cookie is a small piece of data your browser sends back to a site with each request. Local and session storage are similar, but stay in your browser for our pages to read. This is everything this site uses.

Cookies we set

  • pept_vid — a random visitor ID, kept for about 13 months. It lets us count unique visitors and see how many go on to add to cart, start checkout and order. For each day you visit we record the page you arrived on, the referring site and any campaign tags in the link, your device type (phone, tablet or computer), country and the site language, whether you had ordered from us before, whether you stayed on a page for a few seconds or scrolled, whether you viewed a product, and how you answered the age prompt. Visit records do not include your IP address. Page scripts cannot read this cookie, and we do not pass it to advertisers.
  • pept_buyer — set when you place an order and kept for about 13 months, so visits from past customers are counted separately from new visitors. It holds no ID.
  • pept_welcome — set only while our first-order discount offer is running: a random ID, which group of the offer test you are in (shown the offer, or not), and whether you saw, dismissed or claimed it or have since ordered. Kept for a year.
  • pept_exp — set only while we are testing a change to the site: which version of each test you were shown (for example aa1:b), so you see the same version on every visit. Kept for about 90 days. It holds no ID; which version you get is worked out from pept_vid, and we record the first time you were shown a test so the versions can be compared.
  • Sign-in cookies (names starting with sb-) — only if you sign in to an account. They keep you signed in.
  • pept_maint, pept_exp_force and pepovia_supplier — set only for our own staff (to view the site while it is closed for maintenance, or to preview a version of a site test) and for vendors signed in to the supplier portal. Shoppers never receive them.

Analytics and advertising

Google, Reddit and TikTok run scripts on our pages that set their own cookies on this site. They see the pages you visit here, and tell us which of our ads and links led to a visit or a sale. What each does with that information is governed by its own privacy policy. The cookie names below are the ones each service sets today; they can add or rename cookies without telling us.

  • Google Analytics — cookies _ga and _ga_…, kept for up to two years. Measures visits and the steps of checkout.
  • Reddit Pixel — cookie _rdt_uuid, plus _rdt_cid when you arrive from a Reddit ad.
  • TikTok Pixel — cookies _ttp, _tt_enable_cookie and ttcsid / ttcsid_…, plus ttclid when you arrive from a TikTok ad.
  • Vercel Web Analytics — counts page views without cookies or any stored identifier.

Some of this is also sent from our own server, so it is counted even when a browser blocks these services. When an order is paid, Google receives the order value and items, linked to your Google Analytics cookie when you have one. Reddit and TikTok receive the shopping steps they track (product views, add to cart, checkout steps and paid orders), together with the IP address and browser type each came from and, for a paid order, a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) copy of your email address so the sale can be matched to an ad click. Blocking these services in your browser stops their cookies, but not these server-side reports.

Stored in your browser

These stay on your device. Our pages read them, and some of what they hold is sent along with your cart or order.

  • Age confirmation (pepovia.age.ok) — that you confirmed you are 18 or older and accept research-use terms, so you are not asked again. pept_age_gate notes, for the current tab only, whether the prompt was shown, accepted or exited.
  • Cart (pepovia.cart.v1) — the items in your cart. pepovia.cart_tracking.v1 is a random cart ID sent with cart activity, so we can see where carts stall.
  • How you found us (peptuvia:attribution.v1) — the site and campaign tags that first brought you here, the page you landed on and any referral code, recorded once and attached to your cart and order.
  • Referral and discount codes (pept_ref, pept_welcome_code) — a partner code from a ?ref= link, or a welcome-offer code, applied at checkout and then cleared.
  • Order flags — pepovia.ordered.v1 notes that this browser has placed an order. pepovia_pending_order keeps the order number, email and private order-status link of an unpaid order so we can offer to finish it from any page; pepovia_pending_order_checked and pepovia_pending_order_dismissed (this session only) note that we have already checked that order and whether you closed the reminder. pepovia.pay_handoff.v1 notes when you leave for a payment provider’s page, so we can tell when you come back.
  • Visit counting (pepovia.visit.v1) — the date and which of the visit details above have already been sent today, so they are not sent twice.
  • Preferences and one-time questions — your light or dark theme (theme), the ship-to region you picked this session (peptuvia:ship-to, also used to pre-select the country at checkout), the country our server reads from your connection for this session (peptuvia:geo-country, used only to pre-select the checkout country and the payment options shown; nothing about it is stored on our side), whether you answered the region suggestion (peptuvia:region-asked) or the “how did you hear about us” question (pept_heard_…), and when you last opened the deals page (pepovia.saw_deals.v1), which we note when a discount code is applied.
  • Checkout markers (peptuvia:begin-checkout:…, peptuvia:place-order-tracked:…) — kept for the current tab only, so starting checkout or placing an order is not counted twice. pepovia.exp.seen.v1 does the same for site tests, so being shown a test version is reported to Google Analytics once per visit.

You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. The shop works without the analytics and advertising cookies; without site storage, your cart and age confirmation are not remembered between visits.
